New Member from Fraserburgh

Hi Folks
I am new to the forum. A bit about myself.....I am a 58 year old Aberdonian who lives in Fraserburgh. In the past I served in the military but was injured in 1977 whilst serving in Northern Ireland. I was also injured in the 1982 bombing at Hyde Park. I now suffer from PTSD relating to these incidents.I have not camped out for about 20 years but would like to meet up with like minded folks in Aberdeenshire to camp out with and to learn from.

So if you live in Aberdeenshire and would be happy for me to join you on a camp out let me know. I still have to purchase a decent sleeping bag and basha.

'77 - not XMG by any chance? tho the 82 incident suggests either the geegees or 'the falling plates' (sorry, army humour, which I'm sure that you will understand).

I reckon that Bushcraft is a good thing for you to get into, I'm out solo most of the time and love the isolation and the relative peacefulness.

Even just visiting this site and reading about other peoples exploits and endeavours can lift your spirits if you can't get out and about all the time.

I'm well south of you but I'm sure that you will soon pick up on members north of the border in Highland England to hang out with.
