Beautiful knife, I've picked up a few of Mik's knives recently and they're truly lovely. I've two damascus Scandis, both of them lovely

What sort of sheath are you planning?

I've always been amazed at the sheaths (I'm not specifically referring to Miks, though they're 1st rate). They're always house the knife well but they're so much smaller and lighter than normal pouch type sheaths. They're really compact, always danglers and suit the knife perfectly

Im not sure what sort of sheath to do for it yet, i fancy trying a few more traditional scandi style sheaths but im not really sure if it's what i want for this one.
I made a sheath for one of Mik's knives a while ago, it was probably the nicest knife i have ever worked with - it was that one that made me start looking for an example of his work.
Actually i made 2 sheaths for it IIRC

This is it, i really really didn't want to send this one back.

My pic doesn't do it justice but the fit / finish and shape of the handle was just the most amazing and beautiful thing.

Beautiful. Looks like a Mogens Loft Svendson blade with a DI handle, maybe with pewter as well. Really nice. The sheath there looks good

I have one of Miks with a MLS blade as well, quite similar to ta that actually, though a bit more of a drop point. The F+F is stunning

I'm a fan of traditional scandi type knives more and more, they're so usable. The sleekness of the more traditional sheathes helps with belt carry as well, just less to drag you down and get in the way. They only really suit the more traditional knives though
