Hi guys,

not sure whether Im posting this in the right part of the forum but here goes.. got a new set of 3 diamond sharpening stones today from Lidle at £2.50 for the set, the grits are 150, 300 and 400, they are slim and easily fit in the rucksack for extended trips away.. havent used them yet but do try them, for the price you cant go wrong.

I would have posted pics of the sharpening blocks but for some reason the posting rules say I cant post attachments, can someone please advise,

thanks..

hi i saw them today no good to me i baught the block with the 4 grades on before xmas and ive got the mini set as well ive used them and they seem ok to me good set to buy if you havant got anything to sharpen your tools with
regards dave

I use the Aldi diamond 4 sided block for workshop use...cant fault it!
I take a Casstroms 2 sided diamond sharpener with me on trips but have yet to need it - I rarely blunt a knife on short trips!
On longer trips (1 month or so) I used to take a mini steel or mini diamond stel both only about pen size.
I wish we had a Lil near us!

I also have the Aldi 4 sided diamond block which is good, the ones from Lidl look similar but are separate and not in a block form, which would take up less space, I didnt really need new sharpening stones as I bought the Aldi sharpener only a few weeks back, it was the price of them that persuaded me to get them, as you never know when these bargain shops will get them in again.
