Hi all,

This is a recent commision for a member here and this is what we come up with together.
Cherry again, prunus avium. 60 inches long and around late 40`s/50lbs at 27/28 draw.
The grip is made up for comfort as a bending handle bow and finished in dyed veg tan leather.
The tips are antler overlays and the backing is raw silk dyed a light brown to fiit in with the feel of the bow.
Light belly heat treat and very mild recurves to help with string angle.
I hope the new owner enjoys the bow and it was hard to let this one go i tell ya, she was lovely.

thats a lovely looking bow, dawrdo. looks very well made. but surely it's an AFB not a recurve?

Basicaly it has lighlty recurved tips so i guess a recruve? flatbow, homegard, what ever we would like to call it. Also AFB American Flat Bow? i think you will find the design a few 1000 years earlier over this side of te pond ;)
