it's all very well, but what about hardness and edge retention, if you want a true Multi functional fuelid then you have to go with either a laminated type, which is ok, when used in a workshop or somewhere there is access to loads of tools, but its not practical in the wilds of ourgate. Its a given that what you really need has be selected from much higher on the Brinell scale, the one you appear to be using seems to be fairly soft 2,5. Whereas if you went for a solid maple one, it would be much tougher at Brinell 4.6. Moreover, get one that has been specially treated, and it would be virtually stainless.
