Hi guys
Iv'e got a few quid spare and i'm looking to upgrade my machete, I'm currently using a standard army issue golok, which iv'e had for a couple of years. It does the job O.K. but iv'e never been too happy with the balance (just a personal thing ) so iv'e been looking for a better model about the same size. I don't want anything 3 foot long or costs a second mortgage to buy, so can anyone recommend a decent blade without ending up looking like a Rambo wannabe?

I been thinking along similiar lines , I was going to get a cheaper Tramonita Machete Give a re-grind , cut the length a tad and rescale it as something nicer.

Should make an effective little chopper, bush knife.

Cheers for the info guys, i've been looking at both websites (as well as others) and finally ordered a Havildar based on the reviews it's been getting, although I'll probably be contacting one of the leatherworkers on here to commision a sheath, Iv'e got a few ideas and I know the guys on here are more than capable of producing first class work. so it looks like some overtime is going to be required. Still......No pain no gain as the saying goes.
