the nessmuk comes in at 9and 5/8 inches long 1and 3/4 inches wide and 1/8 thick, nice 1/2 inch deep scandi grinds giving the knife real strength and a hair popping edge, the handles are in keeping with the knife and are of samba stag with palm and pummel swell and held on with epoxy resin and 3x6mm mosaic pins made by custom pinmaker and firefigher patrick from the usa,

Love the blade shape Bernie, The scales go well, most of all I like your signature design on the blade, looks very posh.

Are the scales meant to be different thicknesses Bernie... Is it a trick of the camera?

This brings up a point I have been meaning to ask for a while - why are most knife handles symetrical, when, from simple observation, it is evident that a persons grip is not?
I often make asymetrical handles, with a dip for the thumb and more "meat" on the palm side of the handle for instance, and find this more comfortable than a purely symetrical grip.
Any thoughts?

The Nessy looks great - even thoughj I have no Elk to skin at the moment!

Might it be to make the knife equally suitable for left- or right-handers without a custom build?

England's most easterly point
As we are creatures of habits, would someone actually buy a right handed, or left handed for that matter, knife? Or would there be resistance to them?? and no sale for the poor(the proper synonymous word for) knife maker?? :D
