Mystolene Mk9

Hi!

A friend of mine owns a British combat smock. It says on the label inside the smock: "Reproof with [...] Mystolene Mk9". My friend swears
that the waterproofing on the - then new - smock was excellent. It seems that Mystolene Mk9 is a wax emulsion.
Does anybody know what's the difference between this and Nikwax, or where to source it?
There does not seem to be much info about it on the net.

Mystolene Mk 9 is a new one on me.

Its made by J Murphy and sons and the website is catomance.co.uk.

It appears that both are Parraffin wax emulsions with zirconium salts.

Thanks for the link to the Nikwax ingredients. It really seems they are basically the same and there's no secret ingredient in Mystolene. Probably all boils down to correct washing process/heat application.
