Head lamps are a menace when camping with other people.

That´s why moonlight mode shines. Or lowlight red.
And adjust so that when you look straight ahead the lamp points down enough.

Exactly, none of thats rocket science and I believe some people even have eyes that can move while their head remains stationary. They can look in a slightly different direction than their head is pointing.
But give one owl a headligt and just see what happens, mark my words.
