Right gotcha now, I thought it was one piece but now I can see the lip, good work I like it.

I've seen folk heating up the ally first (annealing?) and then rolling it, did you need to do that?

Thanks for this - in particular the source of the bottles - am going to Morrisons anyway tomorrow and will keep an eye out - and also for the 'rolling' diagram. I hadn't understood it either till you showed that.

Still not been able to find any aluminium bottles - is there a dead cert way of finding them eg a type of beer/cider that is always in them

I just looked in the cider section of the beer shop. Up here in Yorkshire there is a chain of them called 'big in booze' if you get stuck I will post you a couple ?
