At last after more than month of waiting it has arrived , the condition is very good , as new , thanks to military mart for sending such a great pack , considering the price I paid I could buy something modern and good but I had my eye on this pack for a long long time so I still went for it :) I want to attach the pouches , what should I do just stitch on both sides an that's all ?

I'd ask the same question, but how to fix them is beyond me.

I suppose fixed. I hate the molle system type fixing, pouches and pockets move about, catch on everything and are a general PITA. Velcro wouldn't really be secure enough. Buttons, poppers the same. Actually, heavy duty pop studs might work.

hm I think I want it permanently , isnt that how most of you have ? I don't need this pouches separately , I think it will be a good add on , for the pack , place where i'll keep food on my few day trips in future

It will be difficult for you to do a good job. Easy close to the opening if the pouch if course, but difficult at the inside bottom of it.

If I did it I think I would first glue it in place very carefulky with a few fabric glue small blobs, then hand stich. Of course you might get a seamstress to do it.

Perhaps disassembling the pack might make it easier to put the mount the pouches where you want them?

Is there enough height to put one pouch above the other without being fouled by the closed lid? Not necessarily a 'do now' mod but it would give you added options later on ;)

Another advantage to disassembling is that it would also give you the option to add compression straps during the rebuild :D

I would go with Nice65's suggestion of heavy duty pop-studs, specifically the 15mm S-ring type commonly found on ponchos. It should make for a quicker fix and neater looking finish than stitching.

I don't know guys , I will take it to the women who stitches my mothers dresses and let her do the stitching , like Mike has form MCQ bushcraft
Because I will be taking this on (i hope) long trips , I need extra space , am I right ?

I think with no tarp/tent sleeping bag on top of the pack and added weist belt I would be able to pack for a 5-6 day trip in the woods

Yes, if you pack cleverly.
Summertime.

What kind of lightweight food can you get hold of in Georgia?

Also, as you have a dog, will he carry his own food?

Yes he will , it depend on season , I also know quite a few wild edibles and mushroom ID , in winter I can hunt rabbit and some birds , food mainly will be a few energy bars , some rice , some packet soops , flour for bannock, maybe a few potatoes or some meat , water is no problem , walk 20 min in any direction and you will find fresh mountain water here ,

Does the Georgian Army have freeze dried food?

I like your aproach, so similar to what I used to do when I was young, handsome and able!
These days I am only handsome..

I wore the torture instrument called Ryggsäck LK-35 on short training missions, plus the targer tortute instrument Ryggsäck LK-70 for long training missions for about 3 or 4 monts, then bought and created my own back pack that was more comfortable and roomy. We all did in my unit.
Both the 35 and 70 have thin metal tube frame that is designed for people shorter than 1.50 meters. That how it fits anyway. We used to get horrible sores where the frame touched our backs.
