Beautifull work there mate, I have attempted to make two so far, and each time they have split, so well done!

Thanks for all the great comments! I didn't keep track of how long it took, sure didn't seem long though....I guess that's a sign of pure enjoyment? Sanding took the longest by far. The kolrossing took minutes and was colored with cinnamon also. I have since made another kuksa from a log of spalted birch.....two kuksas in two days! I'm looking at my wood pile in a different light!

Here is kuksa number two with a little chunk of moose antler in the handle.
