Health to enjoy Sir

( you are now on the long and slippery slope of knife collecting )
Thanks Robbi,
I can def see how a collection begins now as they are a piece of art really.
Its funny as ive never had a bit of interest in them before now.
Lets hope the weather at weekend is like today so i can finally get out and about.

Put some leather balm on the sheath from both sides, let it suck in, and polish it afterwards before you use it.

NO!
He already got a good knife and doesn't need others!

Perhaps additional a Victorinox Compact and that's it.

That's a bushcraft forum here and no blade junky club!

I love your passion man, but fear not, i seriously have no intention of buying any other knives.
I have spent a good amount on a list of gear for wild camping and like the idea of carrying only what i will need and use.

it's a good general all round knife ... enjoy

but ......

you'll need a thinner blade ... 2mm ish .... for food prep and slicing

you'll need a bigger thicker blade for camp dutys ( battening wood for fire prep etc )

you'll need a slim dexterous knife ( bird and trout ) for game prep

then you'll need a small pocket knife for those jobs ......

and an axe ( or 4 )

welcome :)

I admit that, depending on what one wants to cook, an Opinel No8, or even No9 if one doesn't go for hiking alone, as folding kitchen knife might be a good addition.

But I do such food preparation with the Victorinox Compact, the in my opinion best way to carry nail scissors and convincing kitchen multitool.

EDIT:
My Opinel No8 Carbone did see, what I was writing here and shouted, that it is also a bushcraft knife, and a good one on top.
I just write it here, because I don't want to get problems at home and / or should I return to France after the lockdown.
