for a first attempt that is very good, im still in the process of fitting the scales on my 1st. im assuming thats a stick tang? are you going to attempt a sheath?

yep its a stick tang......i did have a couple of attempts first which i mucked up...lol

still its made my next blade attempt better by messing up some first......

the sheath im using is an old remington one taken from another knife.......

before i do my next blade i need to make a new forge thats not as deep and wider.....

ive got all my bits and will start this week, and then the blade.......

im going to attempt the heat treating and tempering in opne go with clay, and also put my name on the blade that you will see when its polished up......

well, thats the idea......lol

its going to be in the style of a japanese blade......

Ermm..Let's see what's not great about it: it's sharp, it's shiny, it's got a handle, you made it youself and it's the first one..Don't be too hard on yourself, it's a pretty darn good knife, don't judge it on appearance, it's what it can do that counts: you've done well. Don't forget the pics on the next one goodjob

well its working well as i was battoning wood with it the other day and givin it some to test it.........
