My 1st Cook's Knife

This is the first cook's knife I've ever tried to make - not perfect but I've learnt a few things making it. It's 3mm carbon steel with a blade around 170mm/7" long and a cherry handle.

The chopping board's from ash from the wood as well

Lovely grain in the handle, and the board.
It must be very satisfying to use those. I'd be very proud if they were my handiwork.

Nice! Shame the blade won't stay shiny for very long, but I expect it will develop a nice patina soon.
