Mushroom or fungi?

I went to the forest today and fond this, does anyone know what it is?

Looks like a boletus of some sort possibly a ceps, if so very good eating, if you can get to them before the slugs and maggots, but as always you need a much more definite ID before trying it.

Hard to say for sure without a clearer picture, especially one of the underside of the cap but it does look like it could be an over the hill Cep. If it is, then keep your eye peeled for more n the area.

Thanks guys but looks can be deceiving. In fact its a fake, this is a geocache I recently found.

I did wonder about the incredibly regular shape of the 'stem' and the join around the middle of it.

Not meaning to sound thick but what is a geocache?

Secretly It looked like cep. the leaf stuck on made me think it was suillus spp, but I don't give IDs if the original photo doesn't have a proper display of features, because the poster shouldn't entertain eating fungi until they know more about what to look for. I do useally give advice of what the photo should include so the poster can learn what to look for, just like what COTW did.
