Have just come back from a Holiday in Italy and here are some shots of a Hummingbird Hawkmoth and some wasps. The moth was difficult to shoot as it was so fast

Nice pics,

We had a hummingbird hawk moth in the garden a couple of years ago, only had an early digicam at the time with 1/2 second shutter lag which made wildlife photos entertaining but here are a couple of snaps.

I have never seen a hummingbird Hawkmoth in the UK
I saw several of them while I was in Italy and this one hung around long enough for me attempt about 20 or more shots.

Robin
Those are great shots with the kit described.

I remember seeing a formation of these Hummingbird Hawk moths whilst sat having some lunch in Slovenia.......4-5 of them coming down the street. Didn't know what they were at first - great shots!
