Just pick up a knife and a piece of wood and have a go. I have been carving since 2005 and it's only now I feel that I am starting to get somewhere, there have been alot of failures and cut fingers but patience and persistance pays off in the end.

I'm midway through making a hatchet job of a spoon from plum wood. I always seem to make the bowl too deep.

This is absolutely stunning. I'm inspired.

I've tried many times to carve spoons but always end up messing it up!!
