Mora 2000 facelift

Took delivery of this today,and within a matter of hours she was in for cosmetic surgery .
Totally freehand filework.

Thank you very much . This kind of work is very hard to photograph because the light hits different spots but I'm sure you all get the general idea of the pattern .

Can you tell me how this is achieved on an already heat treated spine? I was under the (perhaps wrong) impression that filework could only be achieved prior to heat treating?

How does something like this effect the use of firesteels? I tend to use the spine of my blades to get a spark but without that hard angle does it still work?
Very nicely done!

I sometimes leave a space on the spine just for this purpose but on this blade I did not .

It's far better doing the filework and engraving on already hardened steel as heat treating makes the blade go black and is a pain to clean out the graving to regain a nice polished finish
