moose skins - ideas?

hey,

ive got two moose skins hanning for a few months now and i was wondering if anyone has any idea for what to use them for? Ive been making leather from sheepskins and its hard work but worth it. i was thinkn of maybe using one of the [untanned] moose skins to sleep on as i reckon it will be quite soft and a good insulater against the ground. i also though of maybe making a pair of trousers from them but theres a few holes here and there in them as when the hunters skinned the animals they wern't intrested in looking after the skin.

just thought id ask for possible ideas as to their uses

I'd definitely tan them, though I understand just how much goes into that.

With large, heavy hides like that, I'd be sorely tempted to leave the hair on and make some sleeping robes, but your idea to make pants isn't bad. The holes can be sewn shut prior to the softening phase and will end up flat and almost invisible in the finished product.

Thick leather is always handy.
