Modded Bayley S4 comission.

Hi Folks.

I was recently commissioned to make this knife. I've never made one like this before so it had some firsts in it for me.

Its basically a Bayley S4 with jimping, a curved rather than angled tang on the top and a protusion at the rear like on the Fallkniven F1.

It took me a while to make as that bolster fixing is tricky. Its like a stick tang bolster on a full tang knife. Took a few attempts before i got one i was happy with, but its not as perfect as i would like.

The steel is RWL-34 with black G10 handle and orange G10 liners, stainless tubes that i had to make myself from some 9mm stainless bar.

I was concentrating on getting all the bits right and realised after i had hardened it that i hadn't stamped it. Muppet...

I don't think it turned out too bad for a first try.

Thanks, I am really pleased with Marks work on this. After eyeing up the Bayley S4's that some of the members here have, and looking at some of the knives I already owned and the features I found useful on them (the protruding tang on the Falknivens, the jimping on my Esee's) and shaping a rough handle out of polystyrene for the shape, I decided to get my first custom knife. I supplied an inkscape drawing of what I wanted and some orange G10 for the liners, and with some back and forth emails regarding hardness, materials, etc, he made it a reality. I can't wait to have it in hand for use,
