I've been thinking of Modding my MOD knife, who has grinded the Top Guard thumb guard off and is it easy and worth while.

This is my MoD knife that has been customised.
Reground to a full Scandi Grind.
Spine has been given a 90° edge along the first inch or so for use with a ferro rod.
The black coating has been removed and the blade polished.
The guard has been altered to make the knife more usuable.
The hanle has been sanded down to make it more ergonomical.

That's more like what I had in mind Greg and Wildgoose your's is nice as well but I think I'd feel better keeping the front Guard even slightly re-shaped as apposed to removing it all together just due to the weight when chopping for peace of mind.
