Just finished this one today. Mick Spain blade in O1. Convex ground and 3mm thick, a viable alternative to the ubiqitous Fallkniven F1. I always found the F1 to be a little on the thick side and think this is a little bit more of a flexible package.
Thought i'd use some nicely figured stabilised Maple burl, slap on some red liners and some old brass loveless bolts i had lying about.
When i'd stuck that lot together, a bit of work with the dremel and some judicious 'Micromesh' work..............
I just wish the pictures did it justice as those scales are shiny and smooth with a capital 'Smooooooo'!
100mm blade, 115mm handle, blade is 28mm wide at it's widest point and, as mentioned previously, 3mm thick.
Scales, bolts and exposed tang have been taken down to 6000 grit Micromesh. Just wish you could see on the pic's!
Just got to say that, if you get the chance to handle a Mick Spain blade, just do it. This is my third Mick Spain blade and they are among the best to work with.
