I have a military trangia which I have split the lid on. Whilst looking for a new lid I noticed that there were other types of alcohol burners available. I wondered if anyone has tried any of the other models and if they are lighter or quicker than the army trangia.

I'm very impressed with my Tatonka Burner! Far lighter than a Trangia one, better looking, and it primes in less than a minute.

There is a review thread somewhere on here which reviews a few different burners IIRC.

I also have the swedish army messkit with the svea / trangia burner and thought about getting the Tatonka one to replace the old one.
