Mercury?

Here's one I prepared earlier...

Back on midsummer's day, this year, I was on the ridge top at sunset, and so started to take a few photos. Not being very good with my camera, I accidentally activated the full digital zoom on top of the optical zoom, and got a close up of some orange sky.

However, when I looked at the shot later, I saw this:

Is that dot in the upper right the planet Mercury, by any chance? The sun had only been down minutes, and I can't think of anything else that it can be. It certainly isn't venus, as I know that and it was elsewhere in the sky on that date.

Opinions?

As the ISS grows it can now be seen in daylight hours, conditions permitting. Bright Iridium flares can also be seen. It could also just be a planet or a bright star.

Quite possibly. I believe Mercury was just about visible at dusk around that time.
