memory map question

I was playing with the 3d world bit yesterday. It seems to default as moving from south to north. Which is OK except I wanted to look as the north face a hill.

Any ideas how you view the norht face in 3d mode?

I am not sure what you are trying to say here. But in the version I have, I click on "Spin" at the top right of the 3d viewed box and hold down either the left or right mouse button and move the mouse around to orientate the map to which ever view I require.

hmm, that doesnt sound right, unless i've misunderstood you - i have 360 degree movement of my 3d view...

I just select spin then click and hold on the model and move the mouse to swing the map around so i can see the view I want. What version are you using?
