Mediaeval Leather shoes....

So, with Bushmoot theme mediaeval for next year, I thought I'd like to try to make my own pointy mediaeval shoes for my costume.

It has been a long time since I've done any leather working, but I'd like to get started again.

Any advice and/or patterns would be much appreciated....

Hey DH. My missus also wanted (me probably ) to make a pair for exactly the same reason. I'd guess others might be interested as well. Does that offer extend to others?

Thanks Hamish, that's exactly the sort of thing I was looking for. The latchet shoe should suit my purposes and I should be able to modify patterns accordingly to give me the particularly silly looking point at the end for late Germanic mediaeval
