Making a possibles pouch

OK, so my next project is going to be making a possibles pouch although i've never worked leather before. (might try a suede tinder bag first)

Im thinking about the size of it at the moment, and therefore what to put in it.

items i'm considering mostly

basic fishing kit (Line and lure)
housewife kit
Firesteal until i get round to making a sheath
Pencil and small notebook
4m of para cord
Hand glass(can be used to identify plant families and for fire)
Siva compass
Matches in a film case
Head torch
torch batteries with tape wrapped around them

I need other ideas, i believe a FAK would be to big for it, firesteel may be replaced with lip-balm when i get round to the sheath because i always getting sore lips in the cold. (come on at least it not lipstick) hahaha

Any other ideas, suggestions or criticisms are very welcome

leather working's easy dude, it's a lovely material to work with. if you want to come round so that i can share my (lack of) wisdom with you the next time you're back home you're more than welcome.

my "possibles pouch" currently contains:
LED lensor torch (one of the old ones)
ferro rod and striker in a little leather pouch
DC3 and some wet'n'dry in it's leather pouch
opinel number 8
a yard or so of sisal
a candle stub (about 2")
ouch pouch containing:
painkillers (two types)
CPR mask
sterile wipes
non-adhesive dressing
tape
...........and no plasters! glad i looked in there now rather than when i needed a plaster, no idea where they've gone, cheers ste!

OK a re-think, im going to make an 'ouch pouch' containing plasters, sterile wipes and non-adhesive dressing. This will be contained inside a zip lock bag. Tape will be placed around the lip balm when i get a sheath sorted. and insect replant.

I was considering snares but i would need at least 7 to make it feasible so they will stay in my backpack

If i feel ive got to much when i put it all together the matches will leave as i've always been able to make fire from my firesteel and cant remember the last time i used them(although i was struggling at spitewinter that morning but the birch trees had been stripped of their bark).

the ouch pouch is a must, i used the last plaster to keep a 3 day old nick on my thumb clean today and then promptly severed my finger - lucky I had another small first aid kit on me.
I also keep DC3, compass, the trusty swiss army knife (mainly for opening tin cans with my grub in), a strop i recently fashioned from some birch polypore and a bit of old trellice (it only measures 9.5x2x1cm) and rather than firesteel (which lives in my sheath) ive got a mini tinder pouch with old school striker and flint. Dont carry that much paracord, but have a good length of jute string which doubles as excellent tinder when you peel it apart (lights well with char cloth). oh and a lighter.
I do take your point, i carry 4 methods of firemaking on my belt, but if i really got into a survival situation with only what was on my belt, I think id want the lighter and matches. Also, no torch, but have a petzl e-lite, or a nice torch from tesco that can go on my belt. Would recommend the elite for a backup - light, compact, waterproof -all the things you want as a backup to pocket and forget about till you need it.
Fishing line and magnifying glass are good ideas - currently live in my survival tin which lives in my bug out bag, which lives at home,
