Lucet braiding - viking cordage

Having seen this first hand at the York viking festival I thought I'd share this excellent tutorial for creating viking cordage

Thanks, but It's really really easy when you get going. (They're often sold as kids toys) The trick is not to do it too tight.

Now I need to source some jute twine for an authentic feel.

Good fun isnt it?, i carve my own Lucet forks, it's amazing the speed you get up with these things once you going too.
