Welcome to Lords Wood

Weather permitting, for a while we will resume clearing and brash burning opening up further glades for us to use, and let the woodland breathe again! Instead of processing all the timber for the wood pile, we will keep the more useable pieces from the clearance for future projects, so to this end bring any shiny sharps and tools you feel will contribute.

Collecting dead standing or fallen wood for your ground protected fires is fine.

For those yet to attend Lords Wood but are a bit hesitant?

There are a few guidelines here, and that's really as far as 'rules' go. Just about everything you need to know about this venue is there, these are very relaxed and friendly meets. Once we have spent a few hours tidying up the wood, we may meet at the communal fire for a brew and a chat. Or you may prefer to sit in your own pitch and practice woodland crafts etc on your own or with mates, that's fine there's plenty of space. Or if you need help on anything bushcrafty, just ask we have a wealth of knowledge between us.
Oh and don’t forget to bring any bushcraft gear you want to move on at the bushcraft car boot!

I'm tempted to come and visit 9th-11th. I'm thinking of taking the train to Tile Hill and walk from there, 13 kms along paths and bridleways. Just what I like. However the map was not very clear as to where the camp was exactly. Is it easy to find once you're at the car park? Do I just keep walking towards the wood and it's there? Thanks. J-P

Thanks for asking JP, that a bit of a trick in for you but yes more than welcome. The car park is next to the wood so once you are on the track inside the woods, look right and you will see us there about 150 mtrs in

Morning, just keeping my eye on the weather forecast for our meet. At the moment it’s saying -4 with snow likely that weekend, time to test your gear! it could change I’ll keep you updated.
