Welcome to Lords Wood 2021
This meet i thought we would have a bit of a break from Clearing and brash burning. Instead of processing all the timber, we kept the more useable pieces from the June clearance, this meet we will utilise them to build a natural shelter complete with a raised platform to sleep on.
We can also include a firepit with windbreaks / reflector if we have time, it will be a great ongoing project for both new and experienced bushcrafters to get involved in. So, to this end bring your tools and anything else you feel may contribute just keep it as natural as we can, no synthetics. :)
Once finished we will keep it and will be available on a first come basis to those wanting to experience staying in an authentic natural shelter. who knows we may decide to build more!

Just about everything you need to know about this venue is here, I look forward to seeing you.

If anyone has any thoughts or preferences on the proposed shelter build, air them here. It can be anything from an elaborate 4* treehouse to a scrape in the dirt!
I would like a rustic lean to shelter so I could lay in front of a long fire… but if we decide to go for a tree house I’m your man…..

Looking a healthy turn out fellas, :) with less than a week to go and the forecast looking good, it promises to be a great weekend with a couple of group projects to get our teeth into. A natural shelter build and hurdles to make to help keep the draught off around the fire, so dont forget to bring in your cutting tools etc.

Again this is a good opportunity to bring in those excess items for the car boot sale, so grab a bargain or make a few bob!

With less than a week to go before the meet, now is a good time to decide if you want extra days and amend the list, see you all soon. :)

Got tickets for the Bushcraft show that weekend, gutted I am missing another one. On the build front I would suggest some walls around the main fire pit to block out the winter winds
