Welcome to Lords Wood

This meet i thought we would resume clearing and brash burning this will open up further glades for us to use. Instead of processing all the timber for the wood pile, we will keep the more useable pieces from the clearance. Over this and the coming meets we will utilise them to build a natural shelter complete with a raised platform to sleep on.
We can also include a firepit with windbreaks / reflector, it will be a great ongoing project for both new and experienced bushcrafters to get involved in. So, to this end bring your tools and anything else you feel may contribute. :)
Once finished we will keep it and will be available on a first come basis to those wanting to experience staying in a natural shelter. who knows we may decide to build more!

At the last meet there was talk of a Christmas communal meal, be nice if that went ahead! :) Update, looks like thats a goer!

Just about everything you need to know about this venue is here, I look forward to seeing you.

Definitely up for a cook, I have a couple of large Dutch ovens the 8 & 12. Can do a mountain Man one day, and be part of a large evening cook another.

Welcome along, this meet we will spend a couple of hours logging and splitting timber, at this stage we just require willing hands to muck in for a bit. There’s talk of a communal Christmas meal on this meet, no doubt there will be a list of those who want to take part, keep checking in.

Hi fellas, the December meet could be chilly. Seems there might be a mini ice age hitting us end of November / December with prolonged periods of ice and snow down to -11 forecast. See here

So, just in case they’re right, i’m bringing my woolly pants. :)
