Lord of the Rings Audiobook

Odd thing to post about I know, but for those of us who like something to listen to at night when it gets dark early, just spotted this on another site:

Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit Audio books (from the BBC adaptations) for less than £20.

I have them on cassette and they are fantastic. Well worth the money IMHO

I've just received my copy from them on cd.
Mine is the BBC 1970s play version of LOTR rather than just a reading of the book.
It is superb and I can't wait to get it onto my iPod so I can take it camping!!
Just the thing for a night by the campfire.Good call.

Will have a look at that. Just finished hitchhikers guide to the galaxy radio plays and they were superb. Cant beat a good audio book.

All I have on my mp3 player are audio books, I'm a big fan. For older books that are now public domain (ie free) check out http://www.booksshouldbefree.com/ They have some cracking titles there!

They're a great alternative to music are audio books, Talking War of the Worlds, I've just listened to the 1938 Original radio broadcast by Orson welles, It was Brilliant, It is available to download free legally, Not sure if i'm allowed to post a link, No links to the site etc, Just a fan .

Got to say, that's a great deal. I already have them sadly (and the unabridged Inglis readings which are superb).
