Looking to camp North East of England

Hi, I'm wanting to wild camp this weekend in the North East (it's my birthday and there isn't much else I can do) I was wondering where would be possible to wild camp.

Longbank Farm, South of Longhaughton, which is East of Alnwick with is on the A1.

Do you think you can find that online?

Dont know if they still do it; was 8 years ago I went.

What sort of camping are you looking for? In the Lake District, people do camp up on the high fells and while not legal as it is on Dartmoor, it is generally tolerated provided that its only one night. That sort of wild camping works if you are out to hike, maybe a big loop, and want to stop half way over night. All a bit more difficult if you want to go, set up camp and just chill out in that area for a couple of days.

The current Covid guidelines do make it look like a trip to Scotland would not be a good idea. The Scots are understandably unhappy about influxes of possibly disease bearing Sassenachs crossing the border for recreation.

Scottish Borders area say this:

What you can and cannot do​

Outdoor socialising, recreation and exercise can start and finish at a place in your local authority area (or up to 5 miles from its boundary). For exercise, you should travel no further than you need to reach to a safe, non-crowded place.

England says this:

Exercise and outdoor recreation​

You can leave your home to exercise or to visit a public outdoor place for outdoor recreation, such as a coffee on a bench or a picnic in a park. This can be on your own, with one other person when in a public outdoor place, or with your household or support bubble.

You should minimise the time you spend outside your home, and you should not travel outside your local area. Stay 2 metres apart from anyone not in your household or support bubble and follow the guidance on how to stop the spread of coronavirus at all times.

Yeah I was looking more for a chilled out camping trip, just for a night. We do like hiking but we want something just more chilled and to enjoy the views.
I was thinking just over the border near Kielder Forest Park, but yeah, the fact the it’s probably not ideal to go until after lockdown
I also thought, maybe Northumberland National Park. I’ve hiked there but never camped.

Better safe than arrested, I can't imagine that being very chilled I'm sure it won't be long now before there's more freedom to get out under the stars.
