I'm in the process of making my own 16ft diameter tipi (if anyone's interested I'd be happy to show the final product, providing it's not embarrassingly poor). I know I'm looking for 18ft Pines, Firs, Spruce - those trees with about 3-4" at the butt tapering slightly to about 2.5" at 15ft. Anyone have any idea where I could source these anywhere near me? I only need about three as I'm using the following three pole design: http://www.tipis.org/images/Ben_Hunt_15[1].jpg.
