Ok guys im in the process of making my own hobo /multifuel burner using the classi ikea cutlery drainer so do you guys know of any bily cans that are made from aluminium. Are 10cm approx diameter and less than 12cm in height?

It *looks* 10cm diameter, and 7cm high rather than the other way around.

Sorry im trying to go as little weight as possible. Thats why going for ali. To everyone that has a hobo stove...does there need to be airflow arouns the pot ir could you have a bigger one and just rest it on top of the drainer rather than inside?

I think this would be perfect. 10.6cm diameter and 11.7cm tall plus it comes with a lid and a silicone sleeve for not too much cash.

Hi Jordan

Yes, there needs to be airflow around the pot for optimum efficiency. Sitting in on top will impede the burn and make it smoke a lot. A 10-15mm gap all around the pot is ideal. This goes for most stoves too.

FYI, the Poundstretcher drainer is slightly bigger in diameter and the lip rolled outwards.
