Cheers Dave but I tried that and they are all asking antique shop prices, :-{ C )

If I can get the right base I can always alter it to look 18th C. I've tried to find out when metal spinning was introduced to the British copper/brass industry but had no joy. What other folk have done is polish off the spinning marks and then just gone over it with a leather mallet and wooden former/block so it looks right. I'm not sure I'd go that far unless I was going to be demonstrating camp craft or some such.
