Hello All,

Just been looking for a german olive green NATO parka with the pile lining. They used to be about £15, now ebay and others are asking £60+! must have become some fashion item! anyone know somewhere cheaper with them in stock? military mart has them at £20 but non in stock!

Any decent online suppliers with them that anyone knows of?

Thanks

Hi Troutman

No connection to site : ranger-shop.de

Even used is good quality !!! In long (mid thigh) or regular length

Used (Gebraucht) into parkas. Or try David over at fact surplus - he does the navy blue ones too !!

But you'll pay as originals are rare !!! & in with the nerdy student type bunch :(

The trouble is Military style stuff is mega fashionable at the moment. I was working in a student library today and every third person was wearing at least one garment that was olive green in colour. Bargains are going to be hard to find cheap for a year or two and then when the fashions do change it will be hard to sort out the genuine kit from the Chinese stuff. Such is life.

Thanks Northumbrian, some good choices there! I'm thinking about going for either a french pile lined parka or possibly a flecktarn with the insulated liner- might just dye it green! :)

There's also a Dutch parka which is almost the same but has velcro instead of poppers, perhaps it was a NATO rather than German standard. Anyhow, it might come up cheaper and less popular
