london hotel advice please

I'm treating a 14yr old to a train trip down to London, and stay two nights in London. Focus is visitig Chelsea Stadium. Then Pall Mall Buckingham Palace, 10 Downing st etc.

So any Hotel tips ? Only B&B needed. No pools etc required.

Ideally 1 tube station or short walk from Chlesea stadium.

The kings cross premier inn is ok, as are all the YhA hostels in London. The Penn Club is nice, just up from the British Museum...

Thanks. After looking at gettig there, from up here, it may be better to drive and pop over to France/Belgium/Holland !

Or fly to Barcelona, crazy but cheaper flights than to London.

If you pre-book the train you can get some really good deals. Tickets are available upto 13 weeks in advance. I got tickets for London-Edinburg for £32 return....

Yes, a family railcard for 30 pounds would get more than that back for one trip.
