London Bushcraft Freelancer job

  • Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
If only I had the time! Here I am wanting to work on an ultimate tinder, explore ways of putting a drill end on a spliced hand drill without cordage or glue, and possible barks for bowdrill string...................., and I will probably take 3-6 months to progress them.

Don't give up the day job............

I have used Clematis, Cedar and Lime as cordage for the bowdrill (using the egyptian method). All work well.

Intrigued with the spliced hand drill. Spliced as in 'split' with flint or bone in the spliced tip?

How about Pine Pitch (more a filler than a glue)? All natural. It may hold.

Cheers

George
