Hi All,
Thought Id share my load out for an upcoming camp which is going to be a two nighter in my local woodland where I am swinging from the trees for the first time. Rather alarmingly it pretty much fills up my Brit army long back Bergen (minus side pouches) and weighs rather a lot .well it is for two nights!:
Shelter: British army basha, Hammock (UK Hammocks Woodsman cant wait to try it!), small groundsheet
Sleep: Mountain Warehouse 3 season sleeping bag, Foam roll mat, hi-gear ultralite 3/4 length self inflating mat (its my first time hammocking so taking two mats to experiment with what works best)
Cooking: Trusty hobo stove an adapted Ikea utensil holder containing a 10cm zebra billy, tin foil windshield, fold-a-cup, scrubber, trangia stove (full with meths), also taking a small one egg frying pan.
Tools: Hultafors hatchet, folding saw, folding knife, gloves, sit mat, hammock chair, stool
Clothes: spare undies, clean top, fleece, waterproof jacket, buff
Snugpak Responsepak: Contains what I consider to be camp essentials such as first aid kit, fire kit, wash/poo kit, bug spray, head light/torch, spare batteries, carving kit (spoon knife, opinel and sandpaper), spork, carrier bag for rubbish.
Food/Drink: 4ltr water (its a lot but no obvious water sources where Im going!), brew kit, cuppa porridge sachets, sausages (have to take some kind of pork based product camping its practically the law!) undecided on other food but probably a tin of chilli and some tortilla wraps (theyre easier to pack than rolls!).
Will do a trip report with piccies next week
