Lizard.

Hey chaps. I returned to the same spot where I saw some lizards, and there they were again. I guess it's a popular place to be seen. They were about 2 1/2 inches long. If I was an insect, I'd be terrified of them.

Very nice, was this in Wales near you? Funny the only lizards I think of down there are dragons.

Yeah, just along from where our archery range is. I have no idea what species. I'll do a search.

Dragons, aye. Come Saturday evening, there will be a big red deflated one hearabouts. At least I hope so.

Really? Never. Maybe they should be called un-common lizards. I must say though, I rarely go a year without seeing at least one.

They're Viviparous Lizards. There's only three native species of lizard in the UK - vivips, sand lizard and slow worm.
