SP: I sure hope we find out. I could learn to like palm tools if the steel is good.
I wonder who made it? Spoon-bent gouges are "difficult" to shape.

I've bought some $15.00 Samona spoke shaves here that turned out to have fantastic steel.
Bought and used one. So good that I bought #2 a week later.
The $50.00 Stanley really was a POS embarrassment to the company.

Ive finished off the handle tonight. So tomorrow will find out how good it does .

Two questions:
1. Is there enough bend/radius in the shaft to carve quite deep spoon bowls?
2. What's your opinion of the steel? I recall you saying that it was stupidly cheap.
