Little carving and new bow

Hey all,

Last weekend i managed to do a little carving and try out a new bow.

This guy was carved to keep an eye on the woods while we are not there carved from holly.

These are two new bows i was trying out, well actually John the bow got more use out of the heavier bow as after a few shots i was unable to feel my finger tips . John Seemed to like it though One is made from wych elm and the other goat willow (salix caprea)
PS its not that messy usually but after the critters found our store shelter we had to have a clean out

nice bit of carving I like the idea of the talisman to keep an eye out in camp while your not their...

great bows too that is one project I need to get around to making soon...

I know you should leave no trace but I left this one in the middle of a woodland just sat on a rock, with 2 shiney 5p`s in front of it :yikes: Should keep them guessing.

This one was from birch which is much easier on the tools than holly
