Here is my latest. This one in Lilac wood, again from a blank from Frank Foltz. This is very tough wood. The pith ran right down the handle, so I thinned it back so the pith hole would not be near the bowl.

There is a faint tinge of purple in the grain....I opted to not utilize my blackberry juice to "bring it out".:D

Thats really smart looking,

guess i should get round to makeing a spoon some time or other, dont think it will look as good as that with a first attempt.

I bet your pleased with that one...Very nice..
I have noticed that many people on here go for flat handles on their spoons like that. Is there any reason for this, as I find a rounder handle more comfortable to hold and easier to move around in the hand while eating...
