The guy could not get a Svea 123 working, next to a Trangia its one of the most idiot proof/reliable stoves going, so I won't be buying this chaps design

It would be kind of a shame if someone started making commercial hobos because I think the uniqueness and the fact they are home made is at least half the fun.

It also wouldn't really be very hobo would it?

The fact that Hobo stoves are dead easy to make will also keep his prices down so by having such a simple design he kind of shoots himself in the foot, maybe.

Never mind, if prople want to buy it then good on him for having a go.

Yeah, be interesting how much it sells for. I'd guess it'll price itself with other comparable commercial stoves.

Seems out of the list of products it maybe the first to market according to the follow up on http://www.alpkit.com/colab08/news/

Like the idea of the double skin stainless pans with vacuum sides but only one skin on the bottom to transfer heat into it and not let much heat out.

Would save on cooking times a lot cos you could get it boiling then just leave it with no flame to continue cooking.

I think that rather depends on the stove. For gas, and other direct stoves it probably works, like the Jet Boil, but for wood fires I'm not to sure.

Will try and find the site which had the PDF I read, also had alot of links to papers on wood stove designs.

Ah found it
