lightweight tarp...

Hi,

I've got a good basha, but it's too heavy for my likes, and my ponch is a tad small for a tarp (plus I got a really light poncho, so the one I use as a tarp is an extra).

I'm looking for a really lightweight tent type of tarp material that has the holes for guy lines etc, and preferably one that's a touch bigger than the standard poncho.

Any recomendations??

I've got and MSR E-Wing, super light but probably a tad small (or at least awkward shaped).

These (170g for 8'x5') intrigue me though.

I have been using the Hilleberg UL10 Tarp for a few years, it is quite light at 570 g and a good size, measuring 3.5 m x 2.9 m.

It is also surprisingly tough for something that weighs so little.

The new dd tarp2 is good and cheap for what you get it works well with hammock on ground. its also quite light

I have one of BPL's larger tarps and am very pleased with it. It's certainly very light, and has done me fine for ground bivvis & basha'd over a hammock.
