Just got my weekly email from Lidi and next Thursday they have loads of outdoor gear for example

4 season sleeping bag 29.99
trekking poles 14.99

Men's trousers 9.99
fleece blanket 5.99
stainless steel flask 4.99

There is more and from experience it's pretty good kit, and of course buy beware is always a must.

Outdoormagic had the same heads up - but http://outdoorgeardeals.co.uk/ has a write-up on the trekking poles (they've already come out in Germany) which reckons their OK for the price, but expect to do a lot of glueing. As for the rest, no great shakes, but worth looking at the socks, which are pretty good from past experience.
I'm still waiting for the legendary Trangia clones...

I've just noticed that their Trekking Trousers have a 'bionic' finish! Wonder if they make that funny noise
