i just took a few photos its the clarity and clean lines of the light throw that's impressive.i guess that's down to good scientific lens design?

Nice one Johnny!

I've been a happy owner of a Police Tech Focus for a couple of years now and wow, it really has done me proud. I got it after reading all the fantastic reviews on Amazon and wasn't disappointed - the focus feature is great and the throw of it when you focus it down is amazing.

I use it as a medium - large light. Medium I use a Fenix LD20, pocket size I use a 4sevens Preon 2, small I use a Fenix LD10 and mini I use a Fenix LD01.

Oh and micro, I use a Inova Microlight for the key chain.

Lol, didn't realise I had it all so sorted out until now. Italicised.

i bought a k3 last night for my keyring
all in all i would say the p3 is about the best for the money
as you say the police tech is the buisness.

On the basis of this write up I bought a P3 to live on my canoeing BA as an emergency light - it's an impressive little torch.

I've also got an L5 which, although bright and efficient, is let down badly by the stupid end cap "switch". It's one of those which you unscrew a little to turn off and you then have a push-button to give momentary light.

As there's no default stop, it's far too easy to unscrew the cap to the point where it'll fall off - or you dont unscrew enough and any pressure on the cap will allow power through, leaving you with a flat battery if its been in a case with things pressing against it.
