Got this as a gift two days ago and it's absolutely new. Only opened and closed a handfull of times. Not a scratch on it. Awesome bit of kit but I'm sticking with my Surge Does not come with a sheath (which is crap anyway).

Hi Dave.
No, all toools lock on this one. Also in my opinion it's a beast of a multitool and too much for EDC if that was your plan. But perfect for a bike or car tool kit.
